Generally a good time is had by all. Possibly the onlyexception is crosspatch. skinflint is a cruel, cold, heartless, unwelcomingcharacter who changes his heart and mind at Christmas. I like how Dickens used the repetitiveness of the wordmelancholy, as it just highlights how sad, depressed and boring his level is. You can just imagine the street at which he lives. good dealin all the hou ses are laughing, enjoying themselves, singing, spendingtime together, apart from one man. All Christmas decorations are putup and the rooms are all bright, cheery and warm apart from in onehome ScroogesAfter reading the final part, Stave 5, our feeling towards Scroogechanges dramatically and we start to feel empathetic because of hischanges.Just the first reprobate in the 5th Stave shows something has changed.A Holophrastic phrase is exclaimed and it is a come change from the 1stStave. It says Yes Although Scrooge doesnt actually say it, it isa positive comment which we rarely saw in the first Stave.
